How to Pay Your Tax Bill

TAX PAYMENTS VIA MORTGAGE COMPANY: If your mortgage company pays your tax bills, please forward your entire tax bill to them as soon as it arrives.

TYPE OF PAYMENTS ACCEPTED: Personal check, Money Order, Major Credit Cards, eChecks, Certified Bank check only! NO CASH or credit card payments accepted in person. NO PERSONAL CHECKS AFTER DECEMBER 15, ONLY CERTIFIED FUNDS.

TAX PAYMENTS: Please make payment to “Thomas Laconis, Schwenksville Tax Collector” and payments MUST INCLUDE the remittance portion of your bill.

STAMPED "PAID" RECEIPT: If you would like a receipted tax bill, please mail your entire tax bill with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive a proper receipt.

PAY IN PERSON: See the "Office Hours" page for specific dates and times. In-person payments are made at Schwenksville Borough Hall & Community Center, 300 Main Street. Please bring a copy of your bill.

Borough Hall Mail Box: A mail box is located OUTSIDE Borough Hall & Community Center located left of the main doors. Payments MUST be in a sealed envelope addressed to the Tax Collector and can be dropped off at any time during or outside of regular business hours. Dropped payments at Borough Hall are not date stamped and will not be accepted as "on-time" if dropped off after normal business hours on the final due dates. Please use the US Post Office for an acceptable date stamp if paying your bill on the final due date.

You can only pay Tax Bills for the current tax year. All delinquent tax bills from last year are paid via Portnoff/Tax Claim.

The Tax Payer understands that MuniciPAY will add non-refundable fees to process your payment, described within.

The Tax Payer must enter their Parcel ID Number (PIN), listed on the Tax Bill, for the property they wish to apply the taxes to. Please enter the 12-digit Parcel number with no dashes. All Schwenksville Parcels begin with "2000XXXXXXXX". If your parcel begins with a different number, you are not located in Schwenksville Borough even though your mailing address may have a 19473 zip code. Please check your bill for the appropriate Tax Collector information.

The Tax Payer MUST enter the correct "exact" value (to the cent) as it appears on the Tax Bill listed in the current Pay Period for either Borough-County or School. Pay Periods are titled; Discount, Face (or Flat), Penalty and Installment (1 through 3).

The Tax Payer understands any error on their behalf will result in the transaction being cancelled, followed by the full "Entered" Payment Amount refunded to the Tax Payer and all Fees paid to MuniciPAY will be forfeited. (MuniciPAY fees are non-refundable)

The Tax Payer understands the on-line payment receives an electronic time and date stamp and the payment MUST match the current Pay Period or the transaction will be refunded and all MuniciPAY fees will be forfeited.

The Schwenksville Tax Collector accepts electronic check payments using MuniciPAY's online payment service. Payments will be charged to your checking or savings account at your bank. You will need your 9-digit routing number, as well as your account number from your personal checks (see example below). A per transaction service fee of $1.50 will be charged by the payment processing company for this service.
IMPORTANT: When on the "Payment Details" page, click on the “Pay with E-Check” tab and then continue entering your information.
Credit Card Payments Made Online
You can pay your Borough-County and/or School Tax Bill from the comfort of your home or office by using our online payment service. Credit cards accepted: MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Visa. A per transaction service fee of 2.65% or $3.00 minimum will be charged by the payment processing company for this service.
